Colonia Ecologica
Two friends, one Dutch and one English, that I met last October when I was in Bolivia have been heavily involved in a orphanage in the Cochabamba area. They have documenting the progress of a construction project.
Colonia Ecologica is a home for 17 orphans or former street children that "offers prevention, protection and promotion: preventing more children turning to street life, protection and safety in a happy family and promotion of responsibility and moral values."
Through their blog, they are trying to raise money for the organization by promoting an annual climb to Cerro Tunari, the mountain peak just outside of Cochabamba during the students' holiday break in June. Approximately 13 of the children, ages 10-17 will be participating in the four-day hike.

What a wonderful cause. I'm gonna post this on my blog as well. Let's get the word out! Also, now I have a place to visit when I finally get to Cochabamba.
