Sunday Routine
On a lazy Sunday like this, I usually partake in my weekly ritual. After resisting an urge to try a new restaurant, I take Route 66 to buy saltenas at Tuto Bene. Usually securing a parking space is a hassle, as cars from Bolivians are up on curbs or double and tripled parked. Buying three chicken saltenas, I purchase a Sunday Washington Post and head down to a nearby park to read and eat.
This routine somewhat mirrors my routine while living in Cochabamba. Instead of buying a Sunday Post, the 5 Bs. Sunday Los Tiempos would provide about a half-hour of reading material. But the main difference, would be the company. Here in Northern Virginia, most of my family lives 30-45 minutes away. With the responsibilities of a newborn and other commitments, I don't see them as often as I saw my family in Bolivia.
